About the Therapist

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. I am also a Certified Relational Life Therapy Practitioner. I am passionate about helping people and believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I use levity at times in our work as well as looking at what is going right rather than just focusing on what is troubling.

In addition to clinical work, I have served as adjunct faculty at St. Mary’s College of California, having taught both graduate and undergraduate psychology/counseling students in Personality Theory, Theory and Practice of Couples Counseling and Human Sexuality among others. I care about helping burgeoning therapists and have served as a supervisor for a number of students in practicum. I serve on the advisory board for the Graduate Counseling Department at St. Mary’s College and am a published author on trauma.

In my free time, I enjoy being in nature; walking and stand up paddle boarding are favorites. I love to cook and entertain friends and family on a regular basis as I hold a deep value in the importance of relationships, both romantic and platonic. When I have the opportunity, I love to travel and I also play the piano and am a vocalist.
